Physiotherapy, tailored for you.
No two people — or two recoveries — are exactly the same. Your appointment length is based on what challenge brings you in to the clinic, the complexity of your concerns, and where you are in your recovery.
Whether you're coming in for the first time or continuing previous treatment, the goal is to make sure we have the right amount of time to focus on what matters to you.
Initial Assessments
Your first appointment gives us time to understand what brings you in, assess how you're moving and feeling, and establish a treatment plan that fits your goals.
60 min — Standard Assessment
This is for a comprehensive assessment suited to most musculoskeletal concerns, headaches, TMJ and jaw issues, injuries, and return-to-activity goals.
Your appointment includes time to discuss your history and symptoms, complete a physical assessment, review the findings together, and begin treatment where appropriate.
75 min — Extended Assessment
The additional time allows for conditions that may benefit from a more detailed assessment, including persistent or complex pain, vestibular conditions, or multiple areas of concern.
The extra time also allows for a thorough assessment without you feeling rushed, and gives us time to discuss the different factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.
Treatments
30 min — Focused
A shorter option for more targeted sessions, such as progressing exercises, addressing a specific concern, or continuing a focused treatment plan.
45 min — Standard
A good fit for most follow-up appointments, with enough time to reassess your progress, provide treatment, and adjust your rehabilitation plan as needed.
60 min — Extended
More time for complex concerns, multiple areas, or sessions that benefit from a combination of treatment approaches.
Your Treatment
Physiotherapy at AUMA isn’t based on a single technique or approach. Your treatment is tailored to you and may evolve throughout your recovery.
Depending on your needs and goals, your treatment may include:
Manual therapy
Hands-on techniques
Exercise & progressive loading
Education
Dry needling
Movement strategies
The goal is to use the right combination of approaches to help you make meaningful progress and return to the activities that matter to you.
